Expo Square Meeting - 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 25

County Commissioner Randi Miller, City Councilor Maria Barnes, and the fairgrounds admininstration will be hosting a public meeting at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 25, in the Expo Cafe, according to an article in Sunday's paper. The cafe is located on the east end of the Exposition Building.

The subject of the meeting is to discuss construction projects and other issues, which will include neighborhood parking issues.

The leadership of the Mayo Meadow Neighborhood Association will attend the meeting to address concerns related to parking issues. However, we would encourage all interested residents to attend and respectfully voice their opinions about issues related to fairgrounds operations.

The MMNA is appreciative of the tremendous economic and cultural impact provided to our neighborhood by the fairgrounds operation. We look forward to opening a dialogue with the administration of the fairgrounds and working with their leadership to develop a plan of action that will alleviate problems felt in our neighborhood as a result of large events held at the fairgrounds.
