Training Offered for The Front Porch Project
The American Humane Association believes that each of us is responsible for the safety and well-being of the children in our communities. With this in mind, The Front Porch Project was built upon the belief that everyone can, and should, become more aware of how to help protect children in their communities.
The Greenwood Cultural Center will be hosting The Front Porch Community Training sessions help participants learn how to protect children and strengthen families in their community before abuse or neglect occurs.
Specifically, participants will learn about:
Issues affecting children and families today.
How culture, gender and personal experiences influence parenting.
How to safely respond to worrisome situations involving children.
Helping and intervention skills that promise child safety and family well-being.

Also, as long as we are on the topic of safety and the like, I think it's high time for many in our community to consider taking a look at Home Security Systems.
The trainings will be held on September 25 and November 6 (free meals provided).
