Deco Ball 2011

When: 7:30pm

Where: ONG Building, 624 S. Boston Ave.

Grab your top hats and pearls and head out to enjoy an evening of jazz and swing music by local musicians like vocalist Annie Elliott and saxophonist Denny Morouse, live dance numbers, a silent auction, an art deco gallery and more at Deco Ball 2011, all in support of the creation of an Art Deco Museum for the Tulsa community. Night at the Oscars

When: 6pm

Where: Joe Momma’s, 112 S. Elgin Ave.

Not only will the folks at Joe Momma’s be showing the Oscars on their huger-than-huge big screen, but attendees of their Night at the Oscars event, hosted by the hilariously ridiculous Simply Irresistible, will have a chance to don their fanciest outfits and strut down a red carpet. Look for chocolate-covered strawberries and wine in addition to the regular menu always on offer at JM, plus a deal on their Natalie Portman pizza. Giveaways will happen throughout the night, too. This event benefits the Art and Humanities Council of Tulsa.

Bundle up, gather your litter and visit the Zoo’s frosty felines at the Snow Leopard exhibit or head for the exotic indoor Tropical American Rainforest, all in one visit. Akdar Shrine Circus

Time: 2:30pm.

Address: 21st Street and Yale Ave..

The circus is coming to town this weekend, Tulsa, and you have several chances to catch a showing with the kids. This family-friendly event will feature clowns, elephant and camel rides, trained goats, high wire performers, a man being shot out of a canon and even the opportunity to hold snakes and alligators. Get it all in the Pavilion Thursday through Sunday. Kids under 3 are free.
